This is a fairly new building . Very cold inside building. Absolutely no hot water for showers. Bedding was dirty and stained quite obviously not changed !! Booked for 4 nights but only stayed one because of poor conditions. Was charged more than quoted on check out so therefore was disgusted when a couple of days later was abused publicly by manager saying I owed him more rupees!!! What !!!

Very nice Haveli Hotel, beautiful room, very well located near the Fort and the lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always looking out for your well-being. The rooftop has an amazing view at sunset, not to be missed. Definitely a must in Jaisalmer.

Strongly advise to avoid this hotel at the moment. We were due to stay here for 3 nights, however cut short our stay because of the poor quality on multiple counts. - Key issue is that the haveli is a building site. There was complete false advertising of the facilities, since the hotel is currently being refurbished. There is no access beyond the first floor. The place is covered in plaster dust, there is no roof terrace, and the ‘habitable’ rooms are half-finished, not to mention the ones still undergoing construction. We were the only guests at the hotel. - The rooms are bare and (having been relocated on the final night) those on the right side of the building smelt of sewage. The bed linen and towels were stained. - The bathrooms are not clean either, with mysterious stains and clumps of rubbish on the floor and toilets. - The man at reception was apathetic and unhelpful. He seemed irritated at the couple of questions we asked. - There was no hot water, despite it being advertised. When we asked whether we had to wait for the water to heat up (as we appreciate the fact it may not be hot straightaway) the man silently pointed to a dirty bucket in the corner of the bathroom. He then reappeared with an immersion rod (ie a piece of wood with a conductor attached) and stated that if we wanted to use hot water we would have to heat it up in the bucket using this dangerous-looking appliance and then pour it on ourselves. The man offered no apology and seemed perturbed that we did not see this as an adequate replacement to a shower. - I expect this will be an alright place to stay once the refurb is done but for the management to not have declared their building work and to advertise is as available it is dishonest and unprofessional. - You can see from my other reviews that I am not a fussy customer, so everything I have stated here is accurate. - In the interests of fairness, pros: good location (walking distance to fort gate). Beds were fairly comfortable in spite of the dirty linen. - If the management is reading this, we would appreciate a refund due to the state of the haveli being way below our expectations and the price we paid for it.

Stayed in hotel gorakh haveli for one night. Room was good with all the facilities. Ganpat is the owner of the hotel. He took care of everything. Big thanks to Ganpat. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit jaisalmer.
